Obituary for Wallace Hanson

WALLACE HANSON DIES Many hearts were deeply greived when the sad news were passed from friend that Wallace Hanson died Monday. While he had been a long and patient sufferer for the past three years and that he had only a short time left on this earth, yet it came as a shock, the news of his departure.



Our departed brother and friend, Wallace Edward Hanson, was born at Ceresco on the 30th day cf June 1903. He was confirmed In the Mission church of which he was a member since the 23rd of June 1918. He was a graduate from the Ceresco High School in 1922 and during his high school years, took an active part in the activities of the school.



Three years ago his health began to fail him, and during htis time he had been a patient suffere and a brave fighter against the inevitable. He spent some time in Arizona in hopes of recovering, but returned home about three months ago and has since been under the loving and tender care of his parents and friends. The last summons came at his home on Monday, November 2nd, 1925, at the age of 22 years, 4 months and 2 days. It is hard at times for us mortals to understand God's ways, but we know that all things work together for the good, to them that love the Lord.



He leaves to mourn his departure besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hanson, seven sisters and three brothers, and a large host of relatives and friends. May God help and strengthen our bereaved friends this hour of sorrow and grief.



Funeral services were held from teh home at one o'clock and at the Mission church at 1:30. Rev. J.A. Jones officiating.A male quartet sang several selections and Rev. Jones also rendered a vocal solo. Mesrs Carl and Phillip Mostrom, Alden Nelson, Reuben Carlson, Herbert Hallberg and Elmer Johnson, acted as pallbearers. Interment was made in the Swedeburg cemetery.



A letter of condolence was received from Mrs. Hanson's sister, living in Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl T. Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz. sent a telegram to the bereaved family.



This paper joins in extending deepest sympathy to the sorrowing family.
