He was born in Rickelstorp and Flisby Parish,
son of the farmer Esaias Nilsson and his wife Ingeborg Pehrsdotter.
He married at the age of 27 years to Stina Larsdotter from Kårarp.
They were married for 15 years and had 6 children, of whom 4 survived him.
His last illness lasted 4 years, with 4 severe attacks.
