    ESTHER: Born and reared in Nebr., and attended school there. Later moving with family to Missouri. Was married in Red Oak, Iowa, Dec. 22, 1914 to Paul Braden. Like the other sisters she worked hard on their Missouri farm until she was married. A great tragedy struck during WW2 when their son Grant, pilot of a B-26, after 59 successful missions over Germany, crashed when attempting to land in a snowstorm. Paul owns his own garage in Red Oak, and he is a tractor mechanic. They are members of the Christian church.

    GRANT NATHANIAL: b. Dec. 23, 1918. He worked as an auto parts man in Shenandoah after completing high school, then when WW2 came he enlisted in the Army Air Corps. Graduated as a second lieutenant Aug. 30, 1943 at Frederick Okla. He flew his B-26 across and engaged in 56 successful missions over enemy territory, then crashed in a snowstorm on the final return. He was considered of the highest character and courage by all who knew him. A member of the Christian church.
