    • Swedish HER: Between 1845 and 1850, Knisselbo, Hanebo, Gävleborg, Sweden; Jän Olsson household

    Notes:

    Swedish HER:
This is a multi-generational household, with three "Hans Hanssons" living here. Head of household is Hans Hansson (b. 1806) with his wife Ella Larsdotter and four children: Hans (b. 1826), Karin, Lars and Olof. Also living with them is Hans' faather, another Hans Hansson (b. 1774). Hans'-1808 brother Pehr is working as a farmhand as is Jän Olsson. Hans-1806 dies in 1825. Though not stated on this record, Ella will marry farmhand Jän Olsson. There are also six different maids coming and going throughout the time period that this record covers, but none appear to be related to the family (based on cursory review).

    Swedish HER:
Living at Löthen during this time are landbonden (farmer) Jän Olsson; wife Ella Larsdotter; Ella's children from her first marriage: Hans, Karin, Lars, and Olof; and Jän's and Ella's daughter Helena. Also with the family is Ella's father-in-law from her first marriage, Hans Hansson. Another family is on the farm, Pehr Pehrsson family, but has no known family connection.

    Swedish HER:
Living in this household are Jan Olsson, wife Ella Larsdotter, Ella's children Hans, Karin, Lars and Olof (from her first husband Hans) plus a daughter Helena born to Jan and Ella. Ella's son Olof dies in 1839. There are other family units at this location but based on cursory review do not appear to be related (despite similar surnames).

    Swedish HER:
Living at Knisselbo were Bonden Arb. (peasant worker) Jän Olsson, his wife Ella Larsdotter, and Ella's children Karin, Lars and Hans. Another "Karin" is listed (with an 1827 birthdate; is it possible the same person moving away and then returning) and Helena is NOT listed (birth date 1835). Not sure what to make of this. Karin, Lars and Hans all move away in 1848-1849.

Jän married Ella Larsdotter in 1831 in Hanebo, Gävleborg, Sweden. Ella (daughter of Lars Jonsson and Karin Larsdotter) was born on 11 Mar 1797 in Hanebo, Gävleborg, Sweden; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
