Retired Deputy Fire Chief, Lincoln Fire Department, owner of Brodd's Small Engine Repair, Irrigation technician/mechanic at The Country Club of Lincoln for 53 years. Member: St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Sunrise Kiwanis. Loved to travel.
Family members include wife, Sherry; sons, daughters-in-law, Tim and Jodi, Mark and Lina, Matt and Kendra; step-sons, spouse, Eric and Kelly Maxwell, Darin Maxwell; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; brother, sister-in-law, Merlin and Linda Brodd; aunt, Wilma Decker; and nieces. Preceded in death by parents.
Funeral service: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. Rev. Wayne Alloway, officiating. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 "O" St. Memorials to the church, Sunrise Kiwanis or American Cancer Society.
