OBITUARIES
KEITH ELWOOD BRODD
Keith Elwood Brodd, formerly of Sterling and a past Master of the Sterling Masonic Lodge, died Sept. 23 at his home in Tappahannock, Va.
He was born July 19, 1932 in Swedeburg, Nebraska. Retired from the District of Columbia Highway Department, Bridge Division, he relocated in 1991 to Tappahannock, where he volunteered for the Laborers for Christ, Habitat For Humanity, and Hospicce Society of Tappahanock and the Northern Neck. He had been building coordinator at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Herndon and Head Elder at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Calleo, Va. He was the past master of the Sterling Masonic Lodge as well as a member of the Eastern Star Chaper of Herndon.
Survivors include his wife, Maud Gates Brodd of Tappahannock; his children, Sharon Brodd Keating of Chambersburg, Pa. and Keith Wayne Brodd of Sterling; six grandchildren, William, Daniel, and Christopher Keating and Jon-Paul, Nicholas, and Joshua Brodd of Sterling, VA; and two brothers, Elton W. Brodd of Lincoln, Neb. and C. Ferde Brodd of Lake Los Angeles.

BRODD: Keith Elwood Brodd
Keith Elwood Brodd, 70, of Tappahannock, died Monday, September 23, 2002 at his residence. He was a retired assistant engineer for the District of Columbia Government Bridge Division. Mr. Brodd was Past Master of Sterling Masonic Lodge; Past Patron of Herndon Eastern Star Chapter; a Laborer for Christ, 1991 to 1999; member of Habitat for Humanity, 1996 to present; member of Riverside-Tappahannock Hospice and Northern Neck Hospice, 2000 to present; member, head elder and active in the construction of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Maud G. Brodd; two children, Sharon Brodd Keating of Chambersburg, Pa. and Keith Wayne Brodd of Sterling; two brothers, Elton Brodd of Lincoln, Neb. and Ferde Brodd of Lake Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren, William, Daniel and Christopher Keating, Jon-Paul, Nicholas and Joshua Brodd. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 27 in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, two miles west of Callao on Route 202, with Pastor Michael E. Ramming officiating.
