Correspondence | Owner of Blommer Farm Brandon Mon, Aug 1, 5:40 PM Hi Karen, I found your web page with the family tree. You have done a great job with it! Would you happen to know if there is anyone around the St Cloud area that would have more information on John Blommer? I actually own part of his old farm. The log house, barns and a few buildings are still standing. I know its a long shot I would like more information on the farm, stories and pictures would be great. Thank you Reply: John Blommer was the only contact I ever had back in Minnesota - I'd like to know more, too! I've been meaning to research the old land patents and deeds for this family, just to get a better understanding of who owned what and how they financed their various land purchases through the years. If you don't mind, can you give me the legal description of your farm? I'd be curious to see its "genealogy" and which Blommer had it first. I'm trying to plan a genealogy tour through the Midwest to see various farms and cemeteries, this area would definitely be on my list. Thanks for reaching out and sorry I can't be of more help. ~karen |
