LeRoy Henry Hofker 83, Lincoln, died Monday (6/8/09). Born in Douglas, Neb. (02/23/26). U.S. Army WWII veteran; former owner of Hofker Automotive; member of Gideon's International; Gideon's Nebraska State Chaplin for 3 years; President and Chaplin of the Gideon's Lincoln North Camp.
Survivors: wife, Roberta Hofker, Lincoln; sons/daughters-in-law, Gary and Mary Hofker, Seymour, Tenn.; James and Sherry Hofker, Eagle, Neb.; daughters/sons-inlaw, Beverly and Robert Spomer, Buena Vista, Colo.; Barbara and Larry Lanning, Waverly; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: parents; two sisters and four brothers.
Cremation. No visitation. Memorial Service 2 p.m. Thursday (6/11/09) at Rosemont Alliance Church, 2600 North 70th Street. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, to Gideon's International.
