He was last of Lars Martinson's children born in the sod house.The rest were born in the new wood farmhome. Fred was confirmed on May 15, 1892 in the Swedeburg Covanent Church. He died in the Lincoln General Hospital, Lincoln, NE. An autopsy was performed. He and Anna were married in Anna's parents home.
