2298 | Nel's gravestone says he died on June 16, 1905? He came to Saunders County in the spring of 1869. Nels's brother is Andreas Eliason. Based on emigration records, it seems that Nils made a trip back to Sweden and his home area in 1881. Perhaps he was "recruiting" new emigrants. In the group of people from around Finja that sailed with him back to America in March, 1881, was Carolina Nilsdotter, whom he married in May, and a nephew. 1900 census Nelson Elieson 63 Carolina Elieson 43 Hilma A Elieson 16 Anna A Elieson 11 Emin t Elieson 7 Bernherd q Elieson 5 Ruben C Elieson 1 Swan Elieson 29 Sath Lildiedahl 30 | Eliason, Nels (I1886)

2300 | Nellie M. Hanson, 103, died in her sleep March 13 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Tim Smith in Cheyenne.
Nelle was born in Grand County, Colo., to her parents, Calvin and Clara Lehman Kinney on Oct, 3, 1905. She lived on her family’s ranch with her parents and three sisters until her teens when she moved to Denver after her father’s death. She was married for a short time to George Breitschneider, a petroleum engineer. His work took them to Michigan and to the oil fields of Oklahoma. After his death, she returned to Denver where she met Lewis F. Hanson whom she married on Nov. 10, 1935. In 1936, they moved to Wyoming and made Cheyenne their home where Lewis accepted a position as chief clerk for the Union Pacific Railroad. In 1947, they purchased the Wyoming Abstract and Title company assets and started Laramie County Abstract and Title Company. Nelle was active in numerous civic and social organizations. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher and president of the Society of Service. She was an active member of P.E.O., a philanthropic educational organization and served as its president. Nelle was also a Cub Scout den mother, a Meals on Wheels driver, and a Memorial Hospital Auxiliary “Home Tour” volunteer. She was known for her beautiful garden and her knowledge of crystal and cut glass. Cooking and entertaining family and friends was a special delight for her. Her husband, Lewis, preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1982. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Norman Hanson (Diane), Keith Hanson (Murlie), and Sue Smith (Tim) and former daughter-in-law, Judy Weickum; her five grandchildren, Jeff Hanson (Nancy), Rick Hanson (Liz), Krista Hanson, Jenna Hanson and Alisa Smith; her five great-grandchildren, Collin, Ryan and Lindsay Hanson and Max and Meg Hanson. During the difficult time following her hip surgery, Nelle lived out her own advice given shortly before her 101st birthday: “Move though the thick (of life) even though it’s very difficult! Be as dear as you can.” Those who wish may contribute to Cheyenne Botanical Gardens, 710 S. Lions Park Dr., Cheyenne, WY 82001 or Meals on Wheels, 2015 S. Greeley Highway, Cheyenne, WY 82007. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church with Reverend J.D. Megason officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery.
