1904 | Lars arrived in Quebec May 23 1869, at 1:00 P.M. Another report says he arrived in America April 21, 1869. He took a train from there to Chicago IL. He was elected to the Board of County Commissioners in 1894 and 1897. Each time to serve 3 years. The 1910 census lists Lars as head, age 65, Hilda, age 31, Ella Hagstrom, age 30, and Edward R Hagstrom age 3, as occupants. 1948 | LINCOLN STAR - AUGUST 20, 1933 OBITUARY RUTH IONE WALIN Ruth Ione Walin, 15, died in Lincoln, Aug. 7, 1933. Her early childhood was spent on a farm near Lincoln, and she resided in the city since 1929. She graduated from Capitol and Irving junior high school, being always an honor student. She was entrusted by her classmates with high offices and many positions of responsibility. Active in dramatics and all other school activities, she endeared herself to both the faculty and student body of Irving junior high, where she graduated in June 11933. Ruth was confirmed at First Lutheran church in Lincoln,1932. She was an officer of the Camp Fire girls organization of that church. Funeral services were held at First Lutheran church on August 10, and attended by many sorrowful associates, classmates and teachers. Pallbearers were members of her confirmation class.
