1790 It was the Reverend Daiss. He came to America as a mission pastor to Fontanelle NE on Sept. 13, 1878, he was 28. He died of a liver ailment caused by a fall down some stairs. He moved to Berger, Franklin, MO, all the graves are there. In the 1910 census the family lived in Boeuf TS, Franklin, MO and he said he was a precher, and both his parents were born in Germany. In the 1880 census he and wife catherine, daughter Martha and his sister Lydia lived in Fontenelle, NE. He was a precher. The informant on the death certificate was Mathilda Daiss. The birth records of MO show two Daiss children born on March 16 1885 in High Ridge,Jefferson,MO, to Joseph and Catherine, no names are shown. On the Daiss gravestone in St John;s Cemetery in Berger MO, there is a Mathilda Daiss, 1865-1953. Who is she? Daiss, Rev Johann Joseph (I3426)

1796 J. W. Johnson came to America from Sweden, and became established as a banker, and also a restaurant owner. He helped the Brodd's financially in making the journey to America.

His first wife died in childbirth.
To this union 1 daughter was born:

He had 1 son: Ed Wishart who lives in Reno, Nevada.

When Tillie was born her mother died. Gustafva was nursing Augusta at the time. She weaned Augusta and nursed Tillie. Tillie always was indebted to Gustafva for saving her life.

J. W. Johnson married a second time. To this union 3 children were born:

2. Elwood
3. Evelyn

In 1901, Clara (A. G. Brodd's daughter) went to Wyoming to care for J. W.'s second wife when she was ill. Clara also worked in the restaurant that her uncle owned.
