D. Dill respectfully tenders his sincere thanks to his friends and the public for the liberal patronage with which they have favored him, and offers his services to them generally in the Confectionary business, in all its branches. All orders, both town and country, will be supplied at the shortest reasonable notice, and at as low prices as any in the city. He has now on hand a good supply of the first quality Cordials, Lemon Syrup, Wine, Liquors, Capers, Olives, Raisins, Almonds, Figs, Filberts, Dried Beef, Bologna Sausage, Syrup of Orgeat, Candies of all descriptions, Sugar Plumbs of different sizes, Pound Cakes, Wedding Cakes, and Pastry Cookery, of all kinds, furnished in the neatest style if notice be given the day previous.



Also, Segars and Tobacco, of the best kind, and a few barrels of new Georgia Flour.

Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe E. Frasier of Ceresco announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Vivan, to Don L. Rudeen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence F. Rudeen, also of Ceresco. Miss Frasier will be graduated in June from the University of Nebraska where she is a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron, home economics honorary. Mr. Rudeen attended North Park college in Chicago, Ill., and is a graduate of the University of Nebraska. He is now associated with the Equitable Life Assurance society in Aluberquerque, New Mex. The wedding will be an event of July 5.

Veteran Insurance Man, Peter Dill, Park Avenue, Dies



Peter M. Dill, 76 years old, a veteran insurance broker of Indianapolis, died yesterday at his home, 3345 Park Avenue. Mr. Dill had been engaged in the insurance business in the city since 1890. Prior to that time he had been prosecuting attorney of Shelby and Johnson counties, and had practiced law in Franklin and Indianapolis.



Born in Morgan county, Mr. Dill moved to Shelby county when a young man. After serving as prosecutor of Shelby and Johnson counties in the early eighties he moved to Franklin. He came to Indianapolis in 1888 as the law partner of Myron Williams. In 1889 he practiced law in Wichita, Kas.



In 1890 he returned to Indianapolis and entered the life insurance business, being first associated with the Equitable Life Assurance Society of New York. He later represented other companies in Indianapolis and took the agency for the New England Mutual Life Insurance Company in February, 1908. He was local manager for this company at the time of his death.



For thirty-two years he had been a member of the central Christian Church, and had served as a deacon in that congregation. He also was a member of the Life Underwrtiers Association. Mr. Dill was the author of a umber of poems which have appeared in various magazines. His "My Indiana Hills" was contained in a book of contributions from Indiana authors several years ago.



He was married to Miss Flora Frazier June 21, 1881. Mrs. Dill and a duaghter, Mrs. Edith Dill Ford of Indianapolis, and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild are survivors.



Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.

At 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. W.V. Smith of 2112 E street, took place the marriage of Miss Alice M. Smith and Chester A. Frasier of Council Bluffs. The Rev. J.W. Hilton of Cotner university officiated in the presence of the immediate relaties of the bride and groom. The groom's sister, Miss Nellie Frasier, of Ashland played the wedding march. The bride's home is in Illinois but she has lived in this city with here [sic] aunt for the last year and a half. The couple will be at home to friends in Council Bluffs after November 1. The relatives present from out of the city were the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Frasier and Miss Nellie Frasier of AShland, and Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Thurlwell of Malcolm.

Hold Services for Mrs. Ida Frasier

Ida Black Frasier was born at Fairfield, Ind., May 1, 1864 and passed away at Lincoln, Nebr., on Jan. 25, 1949 at the age of 84 years, 8 months, and 25 days. She came to North English, Ia. with her farmily when one year of age. The trip took three weeks in a covered wagon.

Her early girlhood was spent in the vicinities of North and South English, Harper, and Keota, Ia. In 1879 she came to Nebraska with the family of E.J. Rosecrans, with whom she made her home.

On April 1, 1886 she was married to Edward A. Frasier of Ashland, and they made their home on a farm 5 1/2 miles west of Ashland until her husband's death on Dec. 10, 1938.

Seven children were born to this union, one daughter, Maude Belle, having died in infancy. Surviving are Chester A., Grinnell, Ia.; Roscoe E., Ceresco; Nellie I Frasier, Glendale, Calif.; Mabel Williamson and Clarence D. Frasier, Lincoln, and Myrtle Hrubesky of Geneva. Mrs. Frasier also leaves 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren to mourn her loss as well as other relatives and a host of friends.

Mrs. Frasier was a member of the New Hope Christian church and a charter member of the West Ashland Women's club. She was actively interested in these organizations as long as her health permitted.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Marcy chapel with Rev. H. H. Utterback in charge. Mrs. Warren Robinson sang "Going Home" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Mrs. H.F. Anderson was her accompanist.

Pallbearers were Jess Russell, Clyde Landon, Lynn Converse, Ed Vance, Jess Parks and O.J. Lohr. Interment was made in the Ashland cemetery.
