    Alexandra "LuAnn" Pearson, age 69, Leawood, Kan., passed away Monday, December 15, 2008. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Village Presbyterian Church, 6641 Mission Rd., Prairie Village, Kan. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Rd., KCMO. Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, in Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Neb. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions to Pearson Productions Scholarship Fund, c/o McGilley State Line Chapel.

    Alexandra was born June 30, 1939, in Lincoln. Performing arts and music were her passion from an early age and would remain so throughout her life. She graduated in 1957 from Lincoln Northeast High School and continued at the University of Nebraska where she received her BA in Music and was also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha. She went on to earn her MA in music at Vanderbilt-Peabody in Nashville, Tenn. In 1978, the family moved to Leawood, Kan., where she began a successful real-estate career. While her vocation was real-estate, her passion was theatre, establishing Pearson Productions to promote community theatre. Alexandra had a tremendously devoted following of orchestra members, cast and crew.

    Alexandra was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Evie Sue. Alexandra leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Dr. Douglas Pearson. She is also survived by her children, Doug and Amy, a daughter-in-law, Ashley, and two grandchildren, Bentley and Zoe. She will be missed by many loving family and friends.     MISS BELL TO WED IN JULY

    Mr. and Mrs. Dick Richards announce the engagement of their daughter, Lexy Lou Bell, to Douglas Pearson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hilding Pearson of Ord.
    Miss Bell, senior at the University of Nebraska, is a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and Sigma Iota honorary. She is the granddaughter of the Rev. H. C. Harrett.
    Mr. Pearson, also attending NU, is a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha honorary and Sinfonia.
    The couple is planning a July 9 wedding at First Methodist Church.

    MISS BELL IS WED

    Miss Lexy Lou Bell and Douglas W. Pearson asked the Rev. H. C. Barrett, grandfather of the bride to assist at their 4 p.m. Sunday wedding in the First Methodist Church. Parents of the couple are Messrs. and Mmes. Ross F (Dick) Richards and Hing Pearson of Ord.
    The bride chose a floorlength gown of white satin for her wedding. The bodice featured a bateau neckline os scalloped lace.
    Mrs. James Gibb of Lexington, Ky., was matron of honor and Miss Marlene Barrett of Omaha was maid of honor. Miss Kathy Gibb of Lexington, Ky., was junior bridesmaid. Bridesmaids were the Misses Tomilee Hughes of Norfolk, Sharon Dietrich of Wir, Nancie Booth of Walton, Nancy Watton, Ann Bloomquist and Arlene Cook.
    Serving as best man was Bruce Pearson of Ord. In the corps of ushers were Jim Barrett, Don Richards and Bob Ruester, all of Omaha, Dean Sich of Ord, Charles Garner of Cozad, Joel Lundak and Gordon Strong.
    The coule planned a wedding trip to Florida and New York City. After Sept. 1 they will live at Shelby.

    Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his mother and father, and six sisters.     LINCOLN EVENING JOURNAL - MAY 23, 1938

    The marriage of Miss Lucille Bedell, daughter of Mrs. Josephine Bedell, to Hilding O. Pearson of Ord took place Monday at 4:30 p.m. at a quiet ceremony at the First Christian church with Rev. Ray E. Hunt, officiating. Only the parents were present and the couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Daniel C. Ruden. Mr. Pearson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Pearson of Wahoo. The bride was attired in an afternoon dress of ashes of roses linen lace with luggage tan and white accessories. The dress was made on simple lines with tucked pleats in the skirt and a full blouse. A short bolero jacket of the same material was fastened with a brown zipper. Her corsage was of lillies of the valley. After the ceremony, dinner was served to the bbridal party. The wedding cake centered the table and was surrounded with sweetpeas. Mrs. Pearson attended the University of Nebraska and is a member of the Phi Mu sorority. She is a graduate of the Lincoln General hospital school of nursing. MrMr. Pearson was graduated from teh Worsham school of embalmin in Chicago, after having attended the Lutheran college in Wahoo. He was formerly with Wadlows'. The couple will live in Ord where Mr. Pearson is in partnership in the Pearson-Anderson motuary.

    GRAVEL STREETS OF CERESCO

    CERESCO, Neb., Sept. 9 - A few weeks ago, the citizens of Ceresco turned out and gravelled the streets thru the village. The gravel was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Pearson, from their farm near Ceresco. Eleven trucks, thirty-one wagon teamsd about 150 men and boys helped. Two hundred and sixty-seven loads of gravel were dumped and levelled on three blocks to a depth of two inches. Mr. Pearson lives two miles north of Ceresco where the gravel was mined. The ladies and school children served dinner to the workers. The gravel is being well packed now, and in a few weeks the streets will be in splendid condition.

    WAHOO WASP - JULY 30, 1942

    OLOF PEARSON, WAHOO FARMER, KILLED IN FALL

    Funeral services were conducted last Sunday afternoon in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for Mr. Olaf Pearson, who died early Friday morning as result of an accident the previous day. A brief service was held at the home consisting of music bys Mildred Oshlund and devotionals by Rev. J. Edor Larson.
    At the church, Rev. Floyd Lauersen had scripture reading and prayer, Dr. C.O. Gulleen of Genoa, Nebr., delivered the sermon and Rev. J. Edor Larson spoke in Swedish and read the obituary. Mr. Carroll Nygren sang two solos, "Jag ar en Framlungnd "The Lord's Prayer". Internment was made at the Swedeburg Lutheran Cemetery where Rev. Elmer J. Holt read the committal.
    Pallbearers were: C.E. Larson, A.P. Olson, Aug. Brodd, Percy Olson, Hilding Oshlund, and Emil Martinson.
    Olof Pearson was born in Huarod, Brannestad parish, Kristianstads lan, Sweden on February 23, 1867. He came to America in 1884 as a young man of 17 years, and settled near Ceresco, Nebraska, where he remained until 1924. When he moved to Wa, Mr. Pearson was married to Betsey Bengtson in 1893. Had he lived until May 13, 1943, they would have celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.
    Mr. Pearson was engaged in farming near Ceresco. He also was interested in other business enterprises until his retirement in 1924. For the last 27 years, he has been Secretary of the Scandia Mutual Fire Insurance Company.
    Before coming to Wahoo, Mr. Pearson had been a member of the Swedeburg Lutheran Church and had served as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Since joining the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo in 1926, he has been veryive. He has taught a Swedish Bible class for many years and he has been intensely interested in the work of the Lutheran Brotherhood. He was for many years, a member of the Luther College Board of Directors.
    Mr. Pearson was a church man, his interests were ecumenical in scope. He was a man of keen insight and intellect, a great reader, student and thinker. He was sympathetic and understanding, a kind husband and father.
    His death came as a result of a fall from the roof of the barn on the home farm two miles north of Ceresco. He was assisting with the shingling of the barn when the scaffold broke on which he was kneeling. He died early Friday morning at thee of 75 years, five months and one day.
    Survivors are his wife, Betsey; four daughters, Mrs. Olive Strand, Manmouth, Ill.; Mrs. Vendla Swanson, Elgin, Ill.; Mrs. Laura Soder, Ceresco; Miss Roseline Pearson, Wahoo; a son, Hilding O. Pearson, Ord, Nebraska; a brother, P.M. Pearson, Csco; two sisters, Mrs. J.O. Johnson, Ceresco; Mrs. Andrew Nelson, Swedeburg; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
