    Funeral services for Irvin L. Pearson, 68, Ceresco, are pending at the Nelson Funeral Home in Ceresco. He died Monday.
    Survivors include his widow, Iradelle; sons, Irvin Jr., William, both of Ceresco; a daughter, Rose Marie Pearson, Ceresco; brothers, Elmer and Herman of Ceresco; and a sister, Mrs. Edna Brostrom, Corvallis, Ore.

    HARVEST BEE HELD FOR IRVIN PEARSON

    Last Monday, the following came with combines and trucks to help harvest milo for Mrs. Irvin Pearson who recently lost her husband due to a heart attack.     Women who brought food and helped serve dinner and lunch which was served at the Glen Anderson home were Mmes. Herman Pearson, Ray Otto, Chester Sturm, Ed Johnson, Ray Anderson, Edna Brostrom, Irvin Pearson, Jr., Bill Pearson, and Mrs. Irvinrson, Sr.
    Other ladies who furnished food were Mmes.     The Farmers Union Co-op furnished the fuel for the harvesting.

    IRVIN PEARSON SR. FAMILY
    In 1908, Peter William and Clara Brodd Pearson moved to Richland Precinct, Section 20, to the farm which has been farmed by his descendants ever since.
    Irvin Leonard, their youngest child (following Elmer, Herman, and Edna), was born in 1909. He was a farmer all his life, and was born and died in the family farm home.
    In 1935, Irvin married Iradelle Lenore Engstrom. Her maternal grandparents, Brauer and Nellie Peterson, emigrated from Sweden about 1869, homesteading in Wahoo Precinct, Section 12, about one mile south and a mile east of where Mead is today.e Petersons came by train from Moline, Ill., as far as Fremont. From there they walked to their homestead, carrying all their possessions on their backs, at one point wading across the Platte River. They had eight children. Ida, fifth from the oldest, was born in 1878. She was married in 1898 to Leonard Engstrom, a farmer who had himself emigrated from Sweden. They had two children, Vincent (1903-1982) and Iradelle (b. 1905). Iradelle was a teacher in Brown County and Saunders County (Shakespeare School) before becoming a homemaker and farm wife.
    Irvin and Iradelle Pearson were married in 1935 and farmed and expanded the original homestead until Irvin's death in 1971. They had three children, Irvin Jr., William (Bill) and Rose Marie. Iradelle has lived at 221 W. Pine St. in Ceresco se 1977.
    Irvin L. Pearson, Jr. was born in 1937, and was educated as a teacher of music. He has been involved in church and community music and farms in partnership with his brother. He married Leanne Lunzmann of Auburn, also a music teacher, in 1967.ey have two sons, David Leonard (b. 1970) and Kirk Eric (b. 1976). They live on the original Pearson family farm, Richland Precinct, Section 20.
    William Engstrom Pearson was born in 1942, educated in agricultural economics, and is now farming in Ceresco in partnership with his brother. He married Marcia Sutherland, an editor and journalist of Brockton, Mass., in 1969. They have two daters, Erika Lynne (b. 1972) and Karen Marcia (b. 1976). They live in Richland Precinct, Section 20.
    Rose Marie Pearson was born in 1946, and was educated as a music teacher. She is a homemaker, piano teacher, and performing French horn player. In 1973 she married Sidney Swanson of Hildreth, an electrician. They have two sons, Crale Lee (b.7) and Craig Allen (b. 1978). The Swansons live in Richland Precinct, Section 18.

    Pearson - Iradelle L., 96, Wahoo, formerly Ceresco, widow of Irvin L., died Tuesday (8/21/01). Born, Mead (5/25/05) to Nels L. and Ida (Peterson) Engstrom. Graduate, valedictorian, Mead High School, 1923. Attended University of Nebraska and Naska Wesleyan. Received two-year teaching certificate. Taught rural school near Ainsworth and Ceresco District 59. Member, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ceresco.
    Survivors: sons, daughters-in-law, Irvin and Leanne, Bill and Marcia, all Ceresco; daughter, son-in-law, Rose Marie and Sid Swanson, Ceresco; grandchildren, David Pearson, Crale, Craig and Celeste Swanson, all Ceresco, Kirk Pearson, Euliss, Ts, Erika Krull, Kearney, Karen Miller, Iowa City, Iowa; great-granddaughter, Bethany Krull, Kearney; sister-in-law, Thelma Pearson, Wahoo; nieces; nephews; friends.
    Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ceresco. The Rev. Fred Meuter. Prior graveside services: 10 a.m. Friday, Sunrise Cemetery, Wahoo. Pallbearers: David Pearson, Kirk Pearson, Erika Krull, Karen Miller, Crale Swanson,aig Swanson, Celeste Swanson. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today, Nelson Funeral Home, Ceresco.     Miss Iradelle Engstrom, daughter of Mrs. Ida Ogen, and Mr. Irvin Pearson, youngest son of Mrs. Clara Pearson, were married on Saturday, March 23, 1935 in Valley, Nebraska at the parsonage of Rev. Roy H. Larson, minister of the First Baptist Cch. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Swanson of Mead, Nebr.
    The bride was attired in a navy blue suit with accessories to match.
    Mr. and Mrs. Pearson will make their home on the Pearson farm, one mile north and one mile west of Ceresco.
    The bride was born and reared in Mead, Nebraska and was a graduate of Mead High School. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan and University of Nebraska, and has been teaching in Saunders County schools for a number of years. The groom has lived ard Ceresco all his life and is well known here.
    This paper joins their many friends in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity.

    OBITUARY

    William Pearson died at his home two miles northwest of Ceresco, Thursday evening, June 24th, after an extended illness, death resulting from a cancer. He was born at Swedeburg, Nebr., on June 20, 1877, being 43 years and 4 days of age. He waonfirmed in the Lutheran Church on April 7, 1907, where he has been a faithful worker, first being connected with the Swedeburg church and later transferring his membership to the Immanuel church here in Ceresco. On October 22, 1901, he was marrrried to Clara Elizabeth Brodd at Laramie, Wyo., and this union has been blessed with four children - Elmer, Herman, Edna and Irvin, who together with their mother are left to sadly mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father, yet theey "sorrow not as they have no hope." "So, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with Him." Two sisters and three brothers were also at his bedside when death came. Numerous other relatives and friends will feel keenly the loss of one whom they loved and respected for his many sterling qualities of character. The Grace of God in Christ is able to truly comfort all who permit the Holy Spirit to comfort them. Our prayer is that this comfort may richly abide with all.

    Clara was born the 4th child of Anders and Gustafva Brodd, and their first here in America. She was born in Carbon, Wyoming, and at the age of 5 moved with her family to Nebraska. She was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Swedeburg, Saunders County, Nebraska, and also confirmed there. When she was a young lady, she traveled back to Wyoming to help care for her aunt, (Mrs. J. W. Johnson). She also worked in Mr. Johnson's restaurant. While there, she met Will Pearson, and later married him.
    In 1905, they moved back to Nebraska, and for a short time lived on a farm by Weston, Saunders County, Nebraska, but later purchased a farm near Ceresco, Saunders County, Nebraska. Will died in 1920, and Clara remained on the farm until 1935n Irvin got married. She left the farm and worked in Mead, Lincoln, & Omaha Nebraska as a housekeeper and caring for elderly people. She later bought a home in Ceresco, Saunders County, Nebraska where she lived until her death. The home she bought had at one time been a hotel.
    Clara's brother Herman married Lily Bengtson. Lily's brother Wilhelm, is Florence Bengtson Olson's father.

    OBITUARY

    Clara Elizabeth Brodd was born to Anders Gustaf and Gustava Brodd, June 23, 1877 in Carbon, Wyo. Death came to her at the Saunders County Hospital, Wahoo, Nebraska, November 13, 1957 at the age of 80 years, four months and 21 days after a lining illness.
    She was baptized October 21, 1882 and confirmed April 30, 1893 in the Lutheran Church at Swedeburg, Nebraska.
    On October 22, 1901 she was united in marriage to Peter William Pearson at Scandinavian Lutheran Church, Laramie, Wyo. To this union were born three sons, namely Elmer, Herman and Irvin, all of Ceresco and one daughter Edna, Mrs. Julius Brosm of Monmouth, Ore.
    Her husband preceded her in death June 24, 1920. One sister Augusta, Mrs. Carl Nelson, and one brother, Carl Herman Brodd also preceded her in death.
    Family residence has been in Laramie, Wyoming, Weston and Ceresco, Nebr.
    Clara was a loving and a devoted mother. As long as health permitted, she was willing at all times to help others in time of need. She was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Ceresco to which she was always faithful.
    She leaves to mourn her departure three sons, one daughter, twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Also one sister Anna ( Mrs. C. L. Walin), one brother J. A. Brodd, and a host of relatives and friends.
    Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Nels Olson at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Friday, November 15. Mrs. Leonard Palm was organist and Mrs. Glenn Larsen was soloist.
    Pallbearers were Harold Brodd, Melvin Nelson, Omar Sutton, Richard Brodd, Norman Pearson and Edward Walin.
    Internment was in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Swedeburg, Nebr.

    3. Edna Laurine Pearson was born on 19 Jul 1907 in Weston, Saunders County, Nebraska; died on 20 Mar 1990 in Benton County, Oregon.
