ARCHIE LARSON'S VISIT TO UNCLE EDWIN

Lars (Pehr) Larson arrived in America in 1854 from Sweden. He was a blacksmith at Knoxville, Illinois until he took up farming in the Mead area, later moving to Swedeburg, Nebraska.

Lars reared seven children, namely: Mrs. Henry (Sena) Peterson of Colon; Edwin, who moved to Canada to farm; Oscar who was a missionary to India for 20 years; Mrs. Oscar (Esther) Liliedahl of Swedeburg; Mrs. Emil (Minnie) Henning of Califor; Arthur who became the farmer; and David, a carpenter, and for years custodian of Luther College in Wahoo.

Arthur E. Larson was born 1881 and married Hulda Brostrom 1903. They purchased and moved to the old Louis place 1

Violet E. Larson, 93, Wahoo, died Friday (12/14/07). Born March 18, 1914 in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada, to Sven and Emma (Carlson) Anderson. Violet married Archie Larson in Wetaskiwin on August 14, 1936.
Survivors: son, Ross (Carole) Larson, Wahoo; daughters, Yvonne (Joe) Neville, Jackson, Calif. and Capt. Cook, Hawaii; Dawn Fusselman, Helena Mont.; brother-in-law, Rev. Lester Larson, Sequin, Texas; sister-in-law, Alvena Johnson, Wahoo; grandildren, Jennifer Lorenzen, Ceresco; Jane Langan, Lincoln; Richard Larson, Tecumseh; Laura Davidson, Pleasanton, Calif.; Lisa Neville-Segura, Jackson, Calif.; Michele Jackson, Burlingame, Calif.; Kris Fife, Helena, Mont.; and Joshua Clark, Wilton, N.H.; and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Archie; daughter, Jean Clark; one sister; six brothers and their spouses; son-in-law, Lloyd Fusselman; great-granddaughter, Caitlin Nicole Fife.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorials to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wahoo. Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

OBITUARY

MRS ALVERA A. LARSON

Alvera A. Larson was born to her parents, A. G. Brostrom and Bolthilda Olson Brostrom on March 9, 1895 at Swedeburg, Nebraska.
On April 21, 1895 she was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church, Swedeburg and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith on April 10, 1910.
Alvera was united in marriage to Alvin R. Walin of Ceresco in March of 1919 who died of an accidental death in September of the same year. To this union was born one daughter, Alvena. On October 2, 1930, Alvera married Arthur E. Larson. Theyived on a farm until 1946 when they moved to Wahoo. In July of 1971 Alvera moved to Tabitha Home in Lincoln where she resided until October of 1981 when she moved back to Wahoo. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Norris (Alvena) Johnson; three sons: Archie of Wahoo, Rev. Lester of Sharon Springs, Kansas and Glenn of Omaha; one sister, Lorene Larson of Toronto, Canada; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Memorials are to be given to Bethlehem Lutheran Church to the Organ Repair Fund.
