I actually started this one two weeks ago but got sidetracked with work stuff. Here are two group photos from Grandma Rudeen’s photo album, and dad helped me identify nearly everyone!
This first one is a Sunday on the farm with relatives from both the Rudeen and Hanson/Martinson sides of the family attending. My guess on the date is somewhere around 1940.
Back row:
Ed Johnson, Elaine Johnson, Esther Hanson Donna Jean Nordgren, Margaret Nelson, Marilyn Nordgren, Don Rudeen, Delwin Rudeen, unknown couple, Edith (Rudeen) Johnson, Elna (Martinson) Carlson, Hugo Carlson,
Middle Row:
Warren Rudeen, Walt Rudeen, Lawrence Rudeen, Clarinda (Hanson) Rudeen, Mathilda “Tilly” Martinson, Anna (Johnson) Rudeen, Ruth (Hanson) Nordgren, Marie Johnson, Ruth (Mostrom) Nelson
Front row:
Paul Nelson, Charles Nelson, Stanley Rudeen, Gladys Johnson, Marian Johnson, Florence Rudeen
Here’s a close-up of the unknown couple in the back row – does anyone have any guesses?
The second photo is a few years later, probably during the war. Looks like a cod day, everyone’s wearing coats. This gathering appears to be for the Martinson side of the family. Maybe Aunt Tillie’s 70th birthday in February, 1943? Just a guess.
Back Row:
Clarinda (Hanson) Rudeen, Lawrence Rudeen, Walter Carlson, Ellen (Wedell) Carlson, Glen Johnson, Helen (Martinson) Johnson, Carl Johnson
Middle row:
Lorene Mostrom, Ida (Martinson) Mostrom, Mathilda “Tillie” Martinson, Marilyn Carlson, Lu Carlson (Otto), Marilyn Johnson, Paul Nelson, Ruth (Mostrom) Nelson, Margaret Nelson
Front row:
Stanley Rudeen, Carl Mostrom, Jon Mostrom, Charles Nelson
