Pandemic Project #1

Might as well put this time to good use…who can help me identify the people in this photo? It’s Nilla (Svensdotter) Martinson with her grandchildren, about 1907. 

Dad and I have made some guesses but would sure like confirmation on some of these. 

Nilla is my great-great-grandmother. She was my Grandma Rudeen’s (Clarinda Hanson’s) maternal grandmother.

By 1907, Nilla had 20 grandchildren. There are 19 in this photo; I’m pretty sure the baby in her lap is Louis Hanson. He was born in August 1906, so it seems likely this photo was take late spring/early summer 1907.

Here’s a table with the four groups of cousins (in a column for each of four Martinson parents) and the year each was born. I colored the boys blue – that seems to help in the identification process.

Here’s our best guess on who’s who. I’m having an especially difficult time with the older girls, and I can’ figure out who the baby is next to Ruth Mostrom. And I seem to have a missing child as well.
