We’ve been looking at photos of the Charles and Emily Timmons family. Emily’s maiden name was “Bass”, and her parents were Zeno and Harriet (Dill) Bass.
Zeno. Not sure what prompts you to look at a new pink little baby and say…”Zeno”. (Next time I’ll tell you what his son’s name was!)
Anyway.
Emily was the oldest of six children and was born and raised in Morgantown, Indiana, where both the Bass and Dill (Harriet’s) families had lived for a couple of generations.
Later, Zeno and Harriet moved to Iowa and made their home in Malvern. In this sequence of photos, we have their first house, their new house, and Zeno and Harriet on the porch of their hew house. Finally, we have a photo of Zeno and Harriet probably taken a quite a few years earlier than the porch photo. I think they are a pretty hip-looking couple (for the 1910’s or so) and I like Harriet’s outfit, too.
