Back to the blog again – I was away for a couple of weeks while I moved everything to a new computer. That’s always a bigger job than you think it’s going to be.
Last time we were looking at photos of Charles Timmons. Today, we’ll meet his sister Effie. We saw her previously in the photo with her parents Salathiel and Lydia. Effie married a man named Ulysses Reed Graves, though he apparently was known as “Reed”. They had a son Ellis.
I don’t know much about the Graves family. I know Reed was born in 1865 and Effie was born in 1868. They both died in 1945. Effie and her brother Charles must have been fairly close as they are quite a few photos of the Graves family in the photo album.
Here’s Emily (Charles’ wife), Effie, and Effie’s son Ellis. At the risk of offending, I can’t help but see a little bit of Margaret Hamilton (Elvira Gulch…the Wicked Witch of the West).
And here’s Effie’s husband Reed and their son Ellis.
