    At age 21 moved to WV for 5 years, then to LaSalle Co. IL for 6 years. Then to NE. This info from "History of the Elkhorn Valley, NE" Published in 1892 by C.H. Scoville and the National Publishing Co. He was one of the very first pioneers of the Elkhorn Valley, arriving in 1856. He invented a revolving harrow and a car jack and made many of each in his blacksmith shop .
